Most vacation optimizers assume a Monday-through-Friday job. That produces the wrong recommendations for firefighters, nurses, dispatchers, plant operators, corrections employees, and other rotating workers.
Time Off Map first generates every scheduled service date from your chosen rotation. It then tests consecutive groups of eligible work shifts that fit inside your PTO-hour budget and measures the uninterrupted break created between the surrounding retained shifts.

How recommendations are ranked
What does “Longest” optimize?
It places the greatest number of uninterrupted calendar days away first, then prefers the lower PTO cost and earlier date when two options are otherwise equal.
What does “Best value” optimize?
It ranks the number of calendar days away per covered PTO shift, then uses total break length and PTO hours as tie breakers.
Does the optimizer spend my entire annual balance?
No. The current version ranks individual break opportunities that fit within the entered budget. It does not yet assemble several trips into a full-year leave portfolio.
